Monday  .  Tuesday  .  Wednesday  .  Thursday  .  Friday  .  Saturday  .  Sunday

Each magical day of the week will lend a specific energy to your spell casting. Weaving spells on certain days of the week will have certain effects. You can cast or write a spell on a certain day of the week according to the type of spell. Each day of the week corresponds to chakras, crystals, metals, elements, colours, deities and planets, so these correspondences might help you to choose your spell ingredients or wording.

If you work with deities, you can cast or write your spell on a day of the week connected with your god or goddess.
Days with masculine influences correspond to the god aspect and days with feminine influences correspond to the goddess aspect.

New Moon

Spell casting can be done when the new crescent moon first appears in the sky, up to three (or three and a half) days afterwards. Good for spells for new beginnings, new projects, birth and fresh endeavours.  The energy of the new moon will support new relationships and new love and new moon spells will help in finding fresh employment.

Waxing Moon

When the moon's face is growing it is waxing.  Waxing moon spells are normally done between 7 to 14 days after the new moon's first appearance.  Constructiveness, personal growth, blossoming, growth of all kinds, empowering; magic and spells cast on a waxing moon will support success, love, wealth, friendship, health, courage and luck.

Full Moon

The reflective white light of the full moon supports hidden knowledge, the mysteries, the divine feminine, prophesies and divination of all kinds.  Mystery magic, dreamwork, goddess spells and rituals, moon blessings, as well as full moon rites and seasonal rites can be performed under the gentle full moon energy. The full moon can also help with legal issues and health spells. Full moon energy will support your spells from one day before the day of the full moon to one day afterwards.

Waning Moon

As the moon's face grows smaller so do problems and burdens.  Releasing, clearing out, relinquishing burdens and letting go of problems and worries.  Spells to counteract addictions, negativity, anger and illness can be performed as the moon wanes, normally between three and a half to ten and a half days after the full moon.

Dark Moon

When the moon's face vanishes from the sky, it is a good time to vanish those things in your life that are no longer needed.  Powerful banishing spells work well at this time. The skies are dark from ten-and-a-half to fourteen days after the full moon. Rid bad habits, examine your shadow self,  understanding your own negative behaviours, look within for the causes of dis-ease. Undo binding spells and undo magic is potent during the dark moon.

Sunrise

Lasts an hour from when the sun first appears over the edge of the horizon until the disk is fully visible.  Sunrise is a good time for new beginnings spells, new starts, a new day.  The light from the newly risen sun is purifying for yourself, your space or possessions. Purifying spells can be cast at this time.  Cast spells for new endeavours, travel spells and mind magick at this time and the energy of the new sun will bring a bright positivity and freshness to your work.

Midday

At noon the power of the sun is at it's strongest, bringing clarity, creativity and pure energy to your spells.  Timing of the spells can be up to one hour before noon up until the sun  is in the centre of it's arc.  Money, success, business, strength and power spells can benefit from the energy of the midday sun.  Divine masculine energy. The sun also brings energy and vitality to the worker, and energising meditations and spells can be performed at this time, as well as charging for magickal tools.  Midday is a good time to complete projects.

Sunset

When the sun begins to descend over the horizon the time is right for letting go.  Releasing the days events, putting down burdens.  Spells for endings, undoing or decreasing spells.  Sunset can also be a time for reflection, looking back over the day, meditation and release.

Midnight

At midnight the sun is directly below your feet.  Midnight is the perfect time for banishing spells, banishing illness, banishing sadness, banishing unwanted energies from your space.   Spells may be cast from one hour before before midnight.  After midnight the sun begins it's return, so is comparable to the waxing moon and the energy changes. Exact midnight is a good time for powerful incantations for protection and removal.
